Rain Delays On-Campus Events, Tennis Moved to CCLA
BATON ROUGE — Due to severe thunderstorms and lightning moving through the Baton Rouge area, baseball has resumed play after a one hour and 35 minute rain delay and men’s tennis is being moved to a new location.
The LSU-Vanderbilt baseball game is currently in the top of the sixth inning, with Vanderbilt leading 2-0. The game was restarted at 3:46 p.m. No inning can start after 5:45 p.m.
The second round of the NCAA Men’s Tennis Championships is still delayed. LSU and Rice are currently battling for the doubles point. The teams split doubles matches two and three. Becuase of unfavorable playing conditions, the match has been moved to the Country Club of Louisiana. Play will resume there at 6:00 p.m.
