Bertman to Hold Open House on Future of LSU Athletics

BATON ROUGE — LSU Director of Athletics Skip Bertman will hold “Skip’s Open House” Saturday afternoon for LSU fans who want to hear about the future of Tiger Athletics, ask questions of LSU officials and view the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes.

The event will be open to the first 1,000 fans in the Bo Campbell Auditorium in the Academic Center. The Open House will begin at 3:30 p.m. and last for approximately one hour. Doors will open at 3 p.m. LSU plays Louisiana Tech at 7 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.

“This is another effort to reach out to our fan base and foster better communications between LSU’s athletics program and Tiger fans,” Bertman said. “We will discuss future plans for athletics facilities as well as a host of other subjects pertaining to Tiger Athletics.”

Also on hand for the event will be Chancellor Mark Emmert, LSU’s director of parking, traffic and transportation Gary Graham, ticket manager Brian Broussard and a representative from LSU Campus Police.

Fans will also have the opportunity to walk through the new Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes at the conclusion of the event.
