Men's Tennis Ready to Compete at Beau Holton Memorial

NEW ORLEANS, La. — Three members of LSU’s men’s tennis team will compete this weekend in Tulane’s Beau Holton Memorial Men’s Tennis Invitational at Goldring Tennis Stadium.

Cory Ross, Danny Bryan and Brandon Nicholson will face opponents from Middle Tennessee State, New Orleans, Tulane, Southern Miss and Belmont.

Ross will be making just his second appearance of the fall season after returning from injury last week at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships. Bryan was injured last weekend.

“This will be a good opportunity for Cory and Danny to get back in the action,” said LSU head coach Jeff Brown. “It’s also a good chance for Brandon to do well in his home state.”

Ross and Bryan will compete together in the doubles bracket.

Tournament action begins Friday at 9 a.m. Ross plays Juanjo Martin of Southern Miss at 11:30 a.m. and Nicholson plays Tulane’s Patrizio Maucci at 11:30 a.m. Bryan plays Middle Tennessee’s Trevor Short at 12:30 p.m.

The doubles brackets have not yet been released.
