Basketball Fan Day Activities Announced

BATON ROUGE — The annual LSU Basketball Fan Day is set for this Saturday at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The event is free to the public beginning at 2 p.m. prior to Saturday’s LSU football game.

Both the men and women’s teams will be on hand for the event as will the dance teams for the various teams, the Tiger Girls and the Purple Power Dance Team. There will be several games for the fans to participate in as well as contests pitting the players on the two teams.

Tentatively scheduled to participate in the dunk competition from the men’s team will be Mildon Ambres, Brandon Bass, Tony Gipson, Regis Koundjia and Darrel Mitchell.

Involved in two-ball competition will be the following teams: Temeka Johnson/Antonio Hudson, Hanna Biernacka/Jaime Lloreda, Doneeka Hodges/Charlie Thompson and Seimone Augustus and Tack Minor.

In the King/Queen of the Court competition to see who can keep the dribble alive for the longest time, expected to participate will be Amber Long, Josh Maravich, Khalilah Mitchell, Tim Bush, Marian Whitfield, Darnell Lazare, Tillie Willis and Paul Wolfert.

The players will also be available for an autograph session to conclude the activities and both Coach Sue Gunter and John Brady will address the crowd.
