BATON ROUGE — LSU remained among the top 10 teams in the nation on Sunday despite its 19-7 loss to Florida as the Tigers are ranked No. 10 in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today Coaches polls.

The 5-1 Tigers return to action on Saturday when they travel to face 4-2 South Carolina in Columbia, S.C. Kickoff for Saturday’s contest is set for 6:45 p.m. CDT and will be televised by either ESPN or ESPN2.

The No. 10 ranking for the Tigers marks the fourth straight week LSU has been ranked among the top 10 teams in the nation in the AP poll. It’s the longest such stretch for the Tigers since 1998 when LSU spent the first four weeks of the regular-season in the top 10.

Oklahoma continues to be ranked No. 1 in both polls, followed by Miami, and Virginia Tech. Georgia is No. 4 in the AP poll and No. 5 in the coaches poll, while Southern Cal is No. 4 in the coaches poll and No. 5 in the AP ranking.

Washington State, Florida State, Ohio State, Iowa and LSU round out the top 10 in both polls.

Other Southeastern Conference teams in the top 25 include Arkansas at No. 11 in both polls, Auburn No. 19 in the AP poll and No. 25 in the coaches poll, and Tennessee at No. 21 in the AP poll and No. 22 in the coaches poll.
