Students Invited to Get ID's Scanned for SEC CG Tickets
BATON ROUGE — The LSU Tigers will play the University of Arkansas this Friday afternoon for the right to play in this year’s SEC Football Championship Game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on Dec. 7.
The following procedure will be used for fulltime LSU students to order and pick up tickets to the SEC Championship Game should the Tigers defeat Arkansas this Friday.
1. Current fulltime students wishing to purchase tickets to the SEC Championship must have a current LSU Student ID scanned at the LSU Athletics Ticket Office, located on the first floor of the LSU Athletic Administration Building next to Tiger Stadium. (To qualify for fulltime status you must be currently carrying a minimum of 12 undergraduate hours or nine graduate hours.)
Students may have their ID scanned during any of the following times:
Tuesday, November 26 — noon to 5 p.m.
Wednesday, November 27 — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, November 30 — noon to 5 p.m.
Sunday, December 1 — noon to 5 p.m.
Monday, December 2 — 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
IMPORTANT: The order in which ID’s are scanned have no bearing on whether or not you receive tickets. This is not a first come, first served procedure, so there is no need to camp out or to arrive early at the LSU Ticket Office. You may have your ID scanned anytime during the hours posted above to apply for tickets.
2. LSU is allotted 1,500 tickets for students for the SEC Championship Game. If over 1,500 LSU students apply for tickets, a lottery will be held and winners will be notified by e-mail on the night of Monday, Dec. 2.
If 1,500 students or less apply for tickets, all applicants will receive tickets and will be notified on the night of Monday, Dec. 2.
3. Tickets will be available for pick up during the following time:
Tuesday, December 3 — 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
