KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The LSU women’s golf team remained in 14th place Sunday after the conclusion of the sixth Mercedes-Benz Women’s Golf Championships.

The Tigers finished the 54 holes at 117-over par 981 (327-326-328). Auburn rallied past both Florida and the Swedish Junior National team to win the competition. Auburn shot four-over 292 in the final round to finish at 35-over 899, seven shots better than the Swedish team. Florida, after a two-over round on Saturday, shot 20-over par 308 on Sunday.

On the final day, the counting LSU scores were: Devon Day 78, Erin Sarver 81, Brooke Shelton 83 and Rachel Overstreet and Isabel Dornellas 86 each.

Day finished the best for the tournament for the Lady Tigers with a 21-over par 237, good enough for a tie for 40th. Ashley Prange of North Carolina won the individual title with a score of two-over 218.

LSU is in the midst of three tournaments in as many weeks and will go to Greenville, S. C. to participate in the Furman Invitational.
