Bertman Discusses GameDay Changes on Sports Journal

BATON ROUGE — LSU director of athletics Skip Bertman discusses issues surrounding Tiger Stadium parking and tailgating in the latest installment of “LSU Sports Journal,” which airs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday on Cox Cable Channel 4 in East Baton Rouge and neighboring parishes.

“LSU Sports Journal” is a monthly program co-hosted by Jordy Hultberg and Bill Franques that features guests and events involving the athletics department.

The show is replayed each Monday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m. over a four-week period.

The first half-hour of this month’s show features Bertman and Gary Graham, LSU’s Director of Parking, Traffic and Transportation. They discuss some of the changes fans can expect this football season regarding travel to and from Tiger Stadium, motor home parking and tailgating.

Bertman and Graham stress the importance of the new policies in enhancing traffic flow and pedestrian safety, and in preserving the beauty of the LSU campus.

The second half-hour of the show features ticket manager Brian Broussard, who discusses LSU’s record season-ticket sales, and senior associate athletics director Dan Radakovich, who addresses some of the Tiger Stadium security and safety measures which will be in effect this season.

Radakovich also highlights some of the renovations to the stadium, including new signage, updated concessions areas and handicapped seating for students.
