Ticket Office Begins Initial Shipping of Season Tickets

BATON ROUGE — The first of 63,017 LSU football season tickets were sent out on Tuesday according to Ticket Office Manager Brian Broussard. For the second consecutive season, the tickets are being shipped in special envelopes provided by UPS and are not mailed in any particular order.

Broussard stressed that all tickets will not be mailed for several days, and some fans may not receive these from UPS for at least a week.

A majority of away-game tickets have been sent out by the U.S. Postal Service and should be received in the next week. Auburn game tickets have not been sent out.

A record number of season tickets — at least 62,945 — were purchased this season, not including more than 15,000 that are reserved for LSU full-time students.

In addition to the season ticket mail-out, the ticket office will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, for sale of individual-game tickets (limit of eight tickets per person for South Carolina, Alabama and Ole Miss) and away-game tickets (except Virginia Tech and Auburn). Call the ticket office at 225.578.2184 (or 1.800.960.8587 if out of town) to purchase these over the phone.

Those LSU full-time students who purchased season football tickets online over the summer may begin picking up their tickets between Aug. 19-30. Students are reminded that they must present a new LSU student ID card issued for the Fall 2002 semester when picking up student tickets.

A limited number of student-guest tickets will also be available beginning on Aug. 19.
