Tigers Continue to Prep For Catamounts
BATON ROUGE The LSU football team practiced for just over two hours on Monday as the Tigers continue to prepare for Saturday’s season-opener against Western Carolina.
The Tigers are schedule to practice through Thursday before taking Friday off. LSU opens the Nick Saban era at 7 p.m. on Saturday night against the I-AA Catamounts.
On Monday, the Tigers opened with a brief individual warm-up period before splitting into position work. The majority of Monday’s practice focused on fine tuning the Tiger’s game plan for this weekend’s match-up against the Catamounts. Saban utilized the Tiger’s scout team for situational work.
“Our players are excited about the fact that they won’t have to practice against one another any longer, whether it be in spring ball or two-a-day practices,” Saban said. “They will be able to go out and compete against an opponent, and I think that is what we try to focus on with our players.”
