Jason LeDoux Transfers to LSU

BATON ROUGE — Jason LeDoux, a former Louisiana Defensive Player of the Year, has transferred to LSU from Texas A&M, LSU coach Nick Saban announced on Friday.

LeDoux, who redshirted last year as a true freshman with the Aggies, will begin school at LSU on Monday. LeDoux must sit out this season due to NCAA transfer rules, although he can practice with the team.

LeDoux, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 232 pounds, was named Louisiana’s Defensive Player of the Year in 1998 as a senior at West Monroe High School. In 1998, the linebacker registered 130 tackles, including seven sacks, in leading West Monroe to the Louisiana Class 5A state title. LeDoux helped lead West Monroe to 37 straight victories and three Louisiana Class 5A state titles.
