Individual Ticket Sales Top 14,000 in 24-Hours
BATON ROUGE — The LSU Athletic Ticket Office sold some 14,500 tickets in a 24-hour period from 5 p.m. Wednesday to 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Much of that was done in a seven-hour period when the office some Indvidual game tickets to a long-waiting line of fans from 5 p.m. to midnight on Wednesday.
As of now approximately 200 single tickets remain for each of the Tennessee and Alabama contests at Tiger Stadium and the Auburn road game is sold out. Various amounts of tickets remain available for the other five home games and three road trips.
The ticket office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday for LSU Fan Day Activities.
Also, the online ticket buying site on is available for fans when the ticket office has be re-activated, but officials have said that the site is presently running slow because of the nearly unprecedented volume on the site.
LSU ticket office officials said the site showed some 75,000 page views on Wednesday evening which has only been topped by the number of page views for an LSU football game and some 23,000 of those “hits” occurred in the first hour when the online ticket availability went up at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
