Football Goes Through First Full-Squad Practice

BATON ROUGE — The LSU football team took the first step in its journey for the 2000 season, as the Tigers began full squad workouts Thursday morning at the LSU practice facility.

The Tigers worked out in shoulder pads and shorts for almost two and a half hours, concentrating on individual drills before settling in and shifting the emphasis to team drills in the second half of the session.

The Tigers were scheduled to work out again Thursday evening at the LSU practice facility. ? Two-a-days will continue on Friday and Saturday while Sunday will be Fan Day.

Festivities for Fan Day begin at 12:30 and fans are welcome to watch the Tigers workout at 2:30 p.m. at Tiger Stadium, then meet the players and coaching staff afterwards.
