An All-America offensive lineman and the winner of the Jacobs Trophy as the top blocker in the SEC in 1997, Alan Faneca was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021. A two-time first-team All-SEC selection, Faneca was picked in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 13 seasons in the NFL, Faneca was selected to the Pro Bowl nine times, made All-Pro six times and appeared in 206 games. He helped his teams to four division titles and he started 14 playoff games, including the Steelers’ win in Super Bowl XL. Faneca was a mauler in the run game and he helped his team secure 11 top-10 rankings in run offense during his 13 seasons in the NFL. He blocked for nine 1,000-yard rushers, five 3,000-yard passers and is a member of the NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 2000s.
