Dear Tiger Fans,
I am extremely excited about writing this letter today as the new head basketball coach at LSU. My family and I are thankful for the kind and generous welcome we have received from the Tiger faithful since our arrival in Baton Rouge. As someone who has followed LSU Basketball for over three decades, I have tremendous respect for the proud tradition of this storied program. It truly is the opportunity of a lifetime for me to serve as your head basketball coach.
Our first five months on the job have focused on three major areas. First, I wanted to hire an elite coaching staff that will help our players maximize their opportunities at LSU on the court, in the classroom, and in the community. Secondly, we wanted to build a competitive roster that will represent LSU in a way that makes you proud. And finally, we have worked every single day to build a strong foundation that will lead to sustained success for many years to come. For me, that foundation is what we refer to as “The LSU Culture”. The LSU Culture is comprised of our five core values that I have always believed in as a head coach: Hard Work, Unselfishness, Toughness, Accountability, and Joy. We will work hard to live by those core values every single day in our program.
I am looking forward to the journey ahead and cannot wait to take the floor in the PMAC for the very first time. Our 2022 – 2023 schedule features 18 home games beginning on November 9th. We will see you in the PMAC soon.
The Tip-Off Club plays an integral part in contributing to the success of LSU Basketball. We are so thankful for your support and passion for the Tigers. We look forward to getting to know you and your family as we work to build on the proud tradition here in Baton Rouge. Thank you for your continued support of LSU Basketball.
