Summer Stanfield joined Milutinovich for a chance to compete later tonight and earned a spot in the ‘C’ final after placing 18th with a time of 1:47.26, No. 8 on the school’s all-times list for this event.

In the 100-Yard Breaststroke, Emilie Boll narrowly missed the ‘A’ final, placing ninth with a time of 1:00.33. This time moves her up to No. 7 on the school’s all-time list. Jadyn Jannasch swam the tenth fastest time in school history, 1:02.51, to finish in 35th place. Allie McDaid finished right behind Jannasch, placing 36th with a time of 1:02.54. Maddie Clifton finished in 39th place with a time of 1:03.22.

In the 100-Yard Backstroke, Alyssa Helak finished in 33rd place with a time of 54.89 and Brittany Thompson finished in 37th place with a time of 55.05. Cassie Kalisz finished in 40th place with a time of 55.32. Sydney Roycraft finished in 47th place with a time of 55.89.

“Today was a morning filled with positives and some really close calls with women just missing out on either a second swim or the final above the one they made,” said LSU Associate Head Coach Steve Mellor. “The fact is we saw a lot of lifetime bests which you have to deliver in the mornings at this meet. The ladies competing tonight all have room for improvement that they are incredibly capable of delivering. I cannot wait to see the Tigers in the Finals tonight.”
